Labor Day Weekend Gathering 2002

Dates: Saturday August 31 through Monday September 2, 2002
Location: 3 locations this year on the Chesapeake Bay

North Bay Sassafras River on Island Creek 39-21.64N 75-55.30W
Mid Bay Wye East River 38-53.05N 76-09.80W
Southern Bay James River Gang 37-15.75N 76-58.42W

This year we are planning the Chesapeake Bay Flotilla Labor Day weekend gathering in three of our popular location’s "Au Natural" This way everybody can attend regardless of location. To the north Sassafras River on Island Creek anchored up north of Daffodil Island at Blay’s place. Mid bay location at the new Coaches Poplar Island for day swimming with local knowledge of water depths 6 to 7 feet now with the new dredging. Terry of m/v Boldventure has claimed a spot in a private cove on the Wye East River (38-53.05N 76-09.80W) Southern Bay location will be on the James River with exact location to be determined.

The flotilla is growing and this Labor Day weekend gathering should be largest fleet gathering so far!

If you own a boat and enjoy naturism then please join our group for this event.

Arrival Procedure:
We monitor and hail the Chesapeake Flotilla on VHF channel 77 and listen for a reply and instructions. Fly your burgee when approaching the flotilla and be considerate and courteous when anchoring next to others.

Burgee's: we will have yellow and green burgee's available along with beer cozies at the gathering.
